Golden State Film Festival

AJ and Tony attended the TCL Chinese 6 Theatres to kick-off party for the filmmakers in Los Angeles to watch 'A Year to Life' short film inwhich Tony's has a leading role. “It was magical, over 400 excellent independent films were screened day and night for a week”, said Golden State Film Festival Director and Founder, Jon Gursha. Over 400 various films from around the world were shown. They also celebrated Tony's 15th birthday!

I Will Tell International Film Festival

AJ, Tony and their Uncle Terry Redmond attend the 16th annual I Will Tell Film Festival in Deerfiled Beach, Florida where Tony won an award for Best Ensemble. The long running festival expands from London to US shores with screenings at venues

Ceylon International Film Festival

October 29, 2023

AJ and Tony attended the Ceylon International Film Festival aka CEYIFF to support his fellow co-star on her nomination for best supporting actor. CEYIFF is the only film festival in the world to feature Sri Lankan films outside Sri Lanka. For those seeking cinematic adventure, CEYIFF 2023 offers 4 feature films and 15 accompanying shorts selected by a jury of industry professionals from California and Sri Lanka. The broad array of films includes features from Sri Lanka, Japan and USA as well as fiction, documentaries and animation. The program will include a classic of Sri Lankan cinema, The Rainy Day, by Bhadraji Mahinda Jayathilaka, who will be honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award during the Awards Gala.

Strike Summer

On July 14, 2023, the American actors' union SAG-AFTRA went on strike over the ongoing labor dispute with the Alliance of Motion Pictures and Television Producers.

As a member of the union Tony accompanied with AJ walked the picket line twice per week in solidarity.
